Hi are there anyone who can share some information on the OD/MPH degree? Are there specific jobs out there for eye doctors with an MPH degree that uses knowledge from both fields? I have some interest in public health but I'm not sure if I should pursue it if in the long run it won't be beneficial to me finding a good job. Thanks for your help!

I imagine it'll be hard to find someone here with that degree (but you never know 🙂). What I would do if I were you would be to call up any of the schools that offer that degree and ask to get linked up with alums. Those people will have valuable insight, plus they will know others in the industry with the same degree and be able to refer you to them to get a variety of input. That's how I have slowly made connections with people who do what I'm interested in and it's been extremely helpful! People know people, but you have to ask and tell them you'd love to talk to "so and so" if possible.

I don't know much about that degree, but if it's not clear what schools offer it, then just start calling up the Opt schools and talking with the admissions departments. Let them know what you are trying to research and ask if they know of anyone doing something like that or who has done something like that. From my own experiences, SCO is one of the friendliest and well-staffed admissions offices that's super happy to get you connected with people.
