Hi!

I've looked at the science courses DO schools count towards sGPA and there are definitely a lot more than for MD. I was wondering what kinds of courses people had count towards their science that aren't your traditional BCP (i.e., Public Health courses, Anthropology courses, Exercise Science etc.).

Yup. The DO sGPA is different from the sGPA for MD schools. The DO sGPA doesn't include math, and it includes other science subjects outside of BCP. I have had physical anthropology classes and public health classes count towards my DO sGPA but classes like regular cultural anthro and psych didn't count. So you gotta go by the list. Some stuff you think might count for the DO sGPA doesn't count.

@TheGreatDude
Hey, quick question if you have time!
The course subject says "Anthropology" but the title says "Physical Anthropology." How did yours count toward sGPA?
Just need to gauge what my sGPA looks like right now before I move on to post-bacc.

Was it on this list under psych at all?

Bc based on this, biological psychology is straight-up categorized as psych, but I know AMCAS will consider it sGPA and my course was a straight-up science class. I haven't had hope in AACOMAS reconsidering but who knows...
It was a psych course but titled psychology as a natural science.

engineering courses are in the AACOMAS sGPA... unfortunately for [most] engineers
