Hello everyone, I am in the process of applying to PT schools and was wondering what my chances are. Any advice or help is much appreciated. Here are my stats:
Major: Kinesiology - Human Movement (Pre-PT)
GPA: 3.64
math/science: 3.2ish (low, I know)
GRE: 490 (152) Verbal, 690 (154) Qualitative and 4 writing
Experience: 190 hours in three different PT settings (out-patient ortho and pediatric, in-patient neuro)
-played div.1 softball and am currently on staff as an equipment manager
-received various awards and scholarships related to softball and academics
-member of NSCS, Alpha Lamba Delta Honorary organization, involved in Habitat for humanity, service hours for the Special Olympics and summer camp for children with Kidney Disease
-am a TX resident
I have already applied for early decision to TWU, am going to apply early decision to UNT and UTSA, also applying to Texas State, UT-southwestern, St. Augustine, UTMB, and South Alabama
i am also really wondering how much my science/math GPA will factor in. I have made mostly A's and some B's in the major coursework (anatomy, physiology, exercise phys, biomechanics, psych, biology) but made C's in physics. Also curious how much statement of purpose letters and letters of rec play into acceptance. Thanks so much!
