For pediatrics programs requiring 3 LORs, does a departmental letter + 2 individual attending letters fulfill the requirement, or must you have 3 letters from individual attendings? Thanks 🙂

Also, does it matter if your letters come from peds vs other specialties, so long as you have at least one letter from a peds attending?

1. Departmental + 2 should be fine.

2. It shouldn't matter. I had two letters from peds attendings, and one letter written by a non-physician (he was an MPH who I worked with on some international medical activities).
