# of years for pm&r residency

Just a quick question - are all PM&R residencies 4 years in length? I heard sometimes they are 3.

PM&R is a 4 year residency. Most PM&R programs are 1 year of internship + 3 years of PM&R residency (i.e. Advanced PGY2). There are some programs that are 4 years in length but even all of those have the PGY1 residents do an internship at their PM&R program.

Ahh - 1 year internship. That explains the 3 years indicated on one of the programs I had looked up. Thanks for clarifying.
