I'm just finishing up my first year of med school (at a decently prestigious allopathic school in California) and have some free time on my hands so I figured I'd help you guys out in any way I can with your primary applications.

I realize this is my first post, and this probably seems sketchy. It might even be against the rules of SDN, in which case Mods please don't hesitate to delete, or move to the correct subforum. That being said, I have a fair amount of experience both writing and critiquing personal statements for undergrad and medical school, and I'd be happy to take a look at yours and write out some feedback (general or detailed, whichever you're looking for) free of charge.

If you're interested shoot me a PM and I'll send you my email address (not keen on posting it here for the whole world to see). This whole application process sucks, a lot, and I've been there and done that, and I'm happy to help.

Cheers!

You acknowledge how sketchy this is being your first post, and yet you still decided to go through with it? What made you decide to join SDN after finishing M1, solely to come and offer advice on a personal statement? Smells like bad news to me.

Now don't get me wrong, this could be completely legitimate. But the odds are stacked against whoever sends their PS to you i'm afraid.

Maybe by offering some type of information regarding your medical school experiences, you could help prove that you're not some pre-med trying to plagiarize a PS?
