How many of those that were accepted had an officer position at their school organization??

I don't have the title of an officer so will that hurt me? I have a lot of membership but no officer position.

what percentage of people that got accdepted do you guys think were officers?

An officer position is a leadership role of some sort, whether it be president, vp, secretary, treasurer, publicity, etc... any sort of leadership role within a student organization (or even a non-student, community org 🙂).

I have lots of leadership roles but I can't say because I haven't even heard back yet... so I'm just clarifying the previous post.

I don't think not being an officer in an organization will really matter. If you can show that you were involved within the organization, not having a title shouldn't matter. Just make sure to show how you were involved on you application and you should be fine.

i'm in mwu-ccp for class of 2012, and i was treasurer for the residence hall council. more importantly, i think you need to show some sort of contribution to the group, whether it be working events or fund raising, not just showing up for meetings.

My school didn't even have a pharmacy organization, let alone anyone who could answer any of my questions, so I don't think they'll penalize you for it. They just want to know how familiar you are with the profession.

i did lots of contribution to the events. i showed up for every fundraiser ( like 9 out of 10 times ) i participated in every single event. i signed up to be on the health org email list and pretty much attended every seminar offered.

I don't think getting an officer position is really that important. Sure you might get a title, but there are other ways to showcase your leadership. For example, teaching is one of the best ways to express leadership. Being a tutor/teacher at your college certainly helps. You can also sign up to be a peer counselor at your school, which will be equally as impressive as a "president" for a club.
