I got the email that my secondary file was completed on 8/5 and received the snailmail (dated 8/19 - 2 weeks for them to decide) on 8-23.

In case any of you want to know how it feels. Remember way back when you were in junior high, and you went to your first school dance. You asked that "older" girl to dance and she said no, so you went and hung out the rest of the night, head down and unhappy? There you have it. I think it hurts us neurotic SDN'ers even more than the average person. "What, only 97% on the o-chem test? Something must be wrong with me!"

Uchicago reject by snailmail. Got one myself today!!!! For NW, I don't know but when I logged into the status page everythings disappears except for some links to their med websites. My dates and everything is gone and the screen turns purple. Don't know but probably rejected from NW.

MCW is on my s*** list. If anyone remembers when I b*tched about the nasty email they sent me a couple of weeks ago about how one of my letters of recommendations did not meet their standards. Well, I asked a couple other schools to review the letter in question and they both said it was fine. I would tell MCW where to shove their addendum requirement they have now added to my file if I hadn't already paid the 60 dollars for them to review my app.

Well at least I did not have to pay the fee......however what surprised me was that no other school has a problem with my situation except for MCW. I have more than 110 graduate credit hours and all the pre-med requirements from 4-yr US univ and they said their requirement is 90 undergrad hours from US (Which BTW is not mentioned on their website anywhere) 😡 😡 😡

About Vandy I don't know what happened ....may be my verbal score

It's not a rejection, per se, but Michigan State put me on hold. I haven't received the secondary yet. I love how they asked for the fee before awarding the secondary. I thought for sure that I would get the secondary before they shot me down!

I just got an email saying that I am "on hold" at U of Chicago, but I feel better now after reading this thread and seeing how many people got flat out rejected. What does on hold mean? That my app is ok, but they are hoping that someone better applies? If no one better applies then they will take me as a sorry second choice? Awesome.

Where is my tact? I was so busy feeding my own ego thinking, "hey, I got back-handed-sneakily-rejected, which is a step up from flat-out-rejected, therefore I'm a genius," that I forgot to pretend to have tact! 😳

Does anyone know how Wake Forest screens? MCAT? GPA? Combination? I am SO afraid they're gonna see my PS score and kiss my sweet ass goodbye; they're my top choice! Do they wait for OCt. scores if they know you've taken the Aug. test? Any help on this would be muchly appreciated. 🙂
