That finish shouldn't even have been that close. The judges completely obliterated the 2 Americans and gave stupidly high scores for bad routines to the Chinese gymnast who got third.
Theres always a home team advantage in the subjective sports. Just because the crowd is more supportive of the local athletes, if nothing else. That finish shouldn't even have been that close. hahah night monkey!
good luck on your secs. we'll both be done by this time tomorrow 😉
haha! i was lazy and wanted to abbreviate!say that sentence out loud
Man I'm scared about these interviews... I feel like I have an obligation to let each school know that they're my top choice. Anyone else feel this way lol?

Yeah, no kidding. Not to mention that hard evidence finally came out that the Chinese kid missing a tooth was 13. However, I'm SO GLAD Nastia won. 😀 I love Shawn, she's so ridiculously cute, but she'll have another chance. Staying up till 2 is hurting at work this morning though. 😛
People are complaining about losing to a 13 year old?
I was planning on that eventually, but I just haven't bothered yet. I have a stack of 8 secondaries to work my way through (I've begun drafting essays for 5 of them, should be done with all those tomorrow or the day after). Then I'll go add Case to the stack. I have no idea why I don't have Drexel yet...
I'd say that its unnecessary and would make the thread way too cluttered. Most people make arrangements through the universities anyway, or just get a nearby hotel.Hey guys, there is a thread called "Interview Lodging" where people offer to put other premeds up for their interviews. It doesn't seem like people visit (let alone post to) it very often... but of course it would be an invaluable resource.
Do you think we could integrate this into this thread?
An entry might look at follows:
Baylor: texashostdude, ~5 miles
thesecretgarden (II: 8/8, I: 9/5; IS), rowerlauren (C: 7/16, II: 8/8, I: 9/5; IS)
... this way, we wouldn't be adding [m]any additional lines, but we'd be making the thread MUCH more valuable.

Well, I've been wrong on this thread, so maybe it is a good idea. I was voting for the "split by the states" arrangement earlier...Wow, I totally disagree... but you typically have sound judgment... so I guess i'll assume others will agree with you and I'll drop the idea.
I'm still pushing for the splitting this thread up into 50 for each of the 50 states. Sup.

Just seems cluttered to me.
Actually, I've come up with the even better solution to the split the threads argument.Into 50? Dude... then we wouldn't be able to use the sticky functionality and it would get SOO hard to distinguish interview threads from secondary threads and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i'd just go crazy
Actually, I've come up with the even better solution to the split the threads argument.
Split it into 50 threads by the state of the applicant! If you're from CA, you can talk about all your interviews in the CA thread, even if they're in NY 😉
(*cough*)
Oh, and I suppose there would be some utility to the interview lodging... but I dunno if merging the threads is a good idea.

hahaha. Man... I got bombarded with the sun as a fair skinned white boy all of my life, now i'm taking it hard in med school applications... where's the Cali love?
YEAH and like, we can then split it up by state of the school, state of the applicant, GPA range, MCAT score, and race!
Each person gets their own thread!
<edited> I made a stupid comment here. I should think BEFORE writing, not the other way around. Lesson learned.
... lesson forgotten, where am I again?
I say we split it up into two: California, and the rest of the country that nobody gives a crap about because California is awesome.
I say we just get rid of California all together...since its full of abunch of arrogant elitists.I say we split it up into two: California, and the rest of the country that nobody gives a crap about because California is awesome.
