Its probably about time we got this going

Check out waitlist movement in 2006 (has 2002-2005 info), 2007 and 2008

perhaps this can be stickied, and some of the interview-related threads can be unstickied? This will be useful info for a lot of people, even more so if it's actually used

But, will it move on the 15th? because some schools may give out over-acceptances, so they would need to be declined before waitlisted people have a chance. O well, at least the school is still considering us which is more than we can ask.

Some schools have already started taking kids of the waitlist, e.g. ONOY at Pitt.

Congrats to those getting off waitlists. I am absolutely dying to get off UVa. I don't want to have to stomach not being able to come back. Everything about the school and Charlottesville makes me want to return.
 
Thanks for starting this, and posting last year's, ive been looking for that! And seeing that cute bunny drinking coffee brought back memories ...
 
Bump and also... Does anyone know if, if they pull you off the waitlist can they require another interview and transcript before they say ok? I might not be doing so hot this semester, No D's, and not a sub 3.0 gpa, but a possibility for two not so good grades... if you know what I mean >.>

From everything I've seen they don't. The medical schools definitely hold all of the cards so I guess they could, but I've never heard of them doing this.

It isn't completely out of the realm of possibility for them to request more info in the form of transcripts, but I can say with some certainty that they won't be reinterviewing you....

From what I know, they will require your full transcript. I remember talking with my pre-med adviser about this one student that got accepted, he slacked off (bad GPA), and then got his acceptance withdrawn once the school found out.

Some possible answers:
1. Very carefully.
2. An obvious oversight that they will live to regret.
3. Someone on the adcom doesn't like me.
4. My MCAT was too high.
5. It was my 3rd time applying there and I didn't improve enough according to their standards.

I think I was WL'd on the 10/16, but I can't remember. It was on the first day that Pitt gave out decisions, ~5wks after my interview.

did you write a letter of interest/update? i was waitlisted at Temple in January and I'm wondering if it's too late to do so, and if it would even help. thanks.
