The games are officially starting today in beautiful Vancouver Canada.
best of luck to all nations, and may the games bring us all a little closer together 🙂

^ I don't think everyone viewing this thread necessarily wants to see a pic of someone's death. Anyone interested in seeing it can easily search for it online. Personally it's a little too macabre... 👎thumbdown

how many "official" threads does MB339393 want to start? Like 5? lol

The theme of the opening ceremony is nature-centered🙂

USA! USA! i just wanted to start the cheering a bit early. i think we had even more athletes than canada...which is awesome.

The shots of the natural scenary around Vancouver were amazing. I am very suspicious (or jealous) that the water could possibly be that blue.

You should visit some of the less touristy Caribbean islands. I have never seen waters so blue, so clear....you could see clear at least 23 ft!

its all part of my master plan lol. and besides, u love my threads 😀

btw catalystik. the scenery in bc is nothing short of amazing, my parents visted and they said pictures do not do it justice. When your surrounded by mountains, forests and sea, and u breath the air... its apparently breath taking. In this regard Canada is a very rich country. ggahhhh i love u Canada 😍

Is any1 watching the ceremonies right now !!

criminal minds marathon, sry. i used to watch the olympics. then i got basic cable.

lol its okay kirby i dont blame u, thats a good show.

F--- THE WINTER OLYMPICS. My favorite show, Chuck, won't be on for another 2.5 weeks!

Love the Olympics. All the sports I like don't have as much of a popular following, so I only get my sports fix every two years.

A few people I know got the chance to see the opening ceremony rehearsals on Wednesday, but I decided to watch from home instead - with all the roads they've blocked off in downtown Vancouver, traffic is probably really bad.

Although I kind of hope it stops raining here...Kind of hard to have a Winter Olympics when we barely have any snow this year.

!
And luckily despite a greater territory in square miles, you only have one tenth the people mucking it up than we do.

I don't know if you follow hockey, but I cant wait for USA vs. Canada!!

on a side note, I think the country everyone needs to worry about is Germany. I believe they've won the most medals in the last 3 winter games.

I can't wait for short track tonight!!!!!!😀👍👍:claps:

BC wishes it was as beautiful as Washington. Vancouver wishes it was Seattle.

Although I will admit that Whistler is nicer than any Washington ski resorts. Now if only they could have avoided bankruptcy.....hmmmmm good job Intrawest.

Am I the only one who is super excited (maybe too much) for couples figure skating tomorrow?
