did anyone hear back from UPENN again? I received an email from an interviewer a few hours after and PD responding to my thank you card. .... no phone call ... total silence

To the above person who asked .. KUMC did send me a letter a week after interview but nothing since then.

I haven't heard anything.

Does Duke email everyone asking their preference cat vs. advanced? I figure I am not that special, but I thought I'd see if this was just pretty standard?

Other than the second look email from Hopkins that others got, also got emails from Penn (chair and PD), GW (PD), Columbia (chair), and VCU (chair) and phone call from UMd (PD). Couple prelim programs sent emails as well. Messages ranged from "rank to match" to "near top of list" to "you're swell" to "any questions?" and in between. Who knows what to believe, though? I know someone who told every program they applied to they were ranking them #1. Haha. Programs probably are doing similar things, unfortunately for us...

What was the e-mail from GW like?

Ranked near top, something like that IIRC.

That's interesting, on interview day they were all about "minimal post-interview contact" and "leaving the match alone". Said they wouldn't be getting in touch with anyone regarding where they would be ranked...

Don't know what to tell you. Supposedly we weren't supposed to get RTM communication, but I and others have... Process is overall a little shady, you know?

Generic email today from PD at UT Houston. I know it shouldn't but even small gestures like this that go out to everyone make me consider changing my list even if just for a minute.

Massachusetts State Step 2 Requirement:
Please note that prior to enrollment in residency in any Massachusetts state
internship, all interns will be required to have passed both parts of USMLE
step 2 by the time they enroll. Our strong suggestion is that all of your
exams be completed and available for review by the date match lists are
submitted
. Please be aware of this new requirement and plan your exams
accordingly.

Thanks for the heads up 6 days after ROLs were due.

Funny you say that...I got a card from a resident on February 22 (postmarked Feb. 18) with an email and phone number for "if I had any additional questions."

Too late for that 😱

They must have thought that USPS was using the retired shuttles to deliver mail

That, or they're press ganging Lance Armstrong to pay them back for all that sponsorship money.

Doping is a helluva drug!
