Took the exam on 13th. Finished every block with at least 10 minutes to spare. Marked a ****load of questions on each block.
Finished the exam in 7 hours 15 minutes. I don't have a good feeling about the exam.:barf: Hope i(or the adrenaline) didn't screw it up.
My study plan was the usual UFAPping for 6 weeks.
NBME 11-239(4 weeks out)
NBME 7-251 (2 weeks out)
NBME11-249 (10 days before)
NBME 15-251( 3 days)
NBME 16 -249 (1 Day before the exam)
Here's hoping i match my NBME scores:bang:
Got my score last week. Its a 254. Trust your NBME scores!

good luck to everyone!!! I hope you all get your scores that you're wishing for!! 🙂

I took my exam on the 31st...I've felt so depressed and out of it for about a week now :/ I just can't believe how poorly I may of done. I felt like I was guessing on a lot of them, and I marked a bunchh :/ Anyways, my score won't be out for a few more weeks. I will write a thorough review of my exam and suggestions to future test takers very soon, I apologize for not doing it this week but I've been so out of it and to be honest, kind of depressed

Anyways, best of luck to all of you who are getting your scores this week and next!! I wish you alllll the best! 🙂

Hello everyone!
I just finished doing uworld with an average of 75%. In last 20 blocks I consistently scored above 80%. I did all random timed blocks. Can I expect to score good if I do an nbme now? My last nbme was 230. My goal is 250.

I still have around 5days of uworld left and I plan to do as many marked questions as possible. But I don't think I will be able to go over all my marked questions (around 1000). Do you guys think I should just go over wrong ones? Should I extend subscription to redo questions?

Sat step 1 Aug 19. Having a mini panic attack now since it appears some who have taken the exam around that time have had their scheduling permit disappear, yet mine is still there; mocking me. Should be getting scores on wednesday. Kinda freaking out that this means I failed. I wish I never saw the post about scheduling permits. Anyone have any thoughts?

pmp04 i dnt noe i sat for the exam on 21 st august my scheduling permit link is still there.... bt my wen i click the link it says candidate may have sat for the exam.... and from wat i ve heard ur scheduling permit link disappears if u passed ?

i took my exam on august 22nd. my link is still there but when i click it i get an error message saying the permit is not available. my eligibility period runs through september 30. i don't know if this has any bearing on whether i passed or not...kinda freaking out myself

blargh, it just disappeared. Now I'm nervous for a whole new reason.
I honestly can't imagine that a link appearing or disappearing has any bearing on whether or not you passed. If your guys' links don't disappear today or tomorrow, I'd just assume you won't get your results until the following week.
(this is all easy for me to say since my link disappeared and just 30 minutes ago I was freaking out)

I guess while I'm at it I should contribute something to the thread lol. I did pathoma, uworld x 2, kaplan qbank, dit, and FA x about 10 (literally). I took all 6 nbmes, my highest was a 202 about a month out of the exam. I figured that wasn't good enough so I studied harder and took both uworld assessments - got a 221 on both - the last one taken about a week and a half before the exam.

The exam was tough but fair. I marked a ton - close to half the test (I mark anything I'm not 100% on). I got about 3 questions on incontinence and 2 heart sounds. The micro was pretty straight forward. I had some wtf questions but definitely less than I expected. I didn't feel too rushed for time but I ended each section with only a few minutes left. Going into this thing, I was praying for a 220+, after walking out of the test was praying I just passed. Ive been freaking out about the score since taking the test. Crossing my fingers until wednesday.

None of my prep was anything out of the ordinary. Started dedicated study period July 6 and did FA, Uworld, DIT (15 day) with Pathoma videos throughout the school year. I took 1 nbme when I started and got a 207 or 209. Started Uworld averaging low 50s on timed random blocks and saw a major jump in performance at about the halfway mark. I finished the last 15 or so scoring in the 70s-80s. I started to feel comfortable going with my gut feeling on questions I wasn't sure of and that paid off on my scores.
DIT was okay. I had done more than 1 pass of FA before starting it, which I felt was necessary because they go so fast. In retrospect, I feel my time would probably been better spent doing more pathoma but we will see.

As for the exam...I sat on Aug 19. I got a good nights sleep and started the exam at 745 am (in TX). First block absolutely shellshocked me so I went right into the second block and felt much more comfortable. I took a 10 minute break and snacked and peed and then did another 2 blocks. After that I took a break after every block. My snacks were mini tenderloin sandwiches with blue cheese dressing and arugula. My favorite. Thannnnnkkss mom. Everyone said bring light snacks but I went with the heavy and delicious option which was an A+ move on my part because it gave me something to look forward to throughout the day. Also brought some coconut water which tastes like, what I'd assume, is semen but it sure is hydrating. Also brought advil, regular water, and one of those starbucks iced coffee in a bottle things.

I also didn't have too many wtf questions. The most frustrating thing for me was missing absolute gimmes because I switched the answers literally last second. I must have had a stroke or something because I **** you not, the question was basically how do you dx diabetes and I probably answered chest x-ray or something. So a few questions like that have been preying on my mind for the past couple weeks. I also marked a ****ton of questions and guessed on plenty and I answered some correctly I had no business knowing so hopefully my idiot mistakes are evened out by my miracle answers. I don't know. Not feeling super confident but I did work hard and I am proud of my effort.

My schedule was generally, 830-530 (at my dad's office like Will Ferrell in Elf) then a jog and dinner and then 730-10 followed by some TV. I watched Leftovers on HBO. If I fail, I'm blaming it on that awful TV show.

I think I'd like any score with a 2 in front of it. Good luck to everyone getting their scores on wednesday.

oh crap mine just did too...does this mean...we...passed?

I don't think it means anything other than we're getting our scores on wednesday.

Worry if you get a call from your school before the scores are released since they get them that morning before we do around 11ish......😱

:stop: you must leave rotation and repeat Step 1.......

😢 +pissed+ :sendoff:

Does anyone know if we get a letter in the mail of our step scores? or is everything electronic/online these days? I was just wondering!

As far as I know, it is all electronic. You log onto the site and print out your score for later. It does not stay on there forever so you need to print it for residency.

If I wrote on the 30th of August , when would i receive my score ? Im guessing the 24th of September ??? Am I write ?

I believe so that it's september 24th but not positive

I wrote mine on the 31st and I was also expecting it on the 24th

That should be correct based on how it has been working all summer.

never has this type of feelings.. exam result is tomorrow and i am already freaking out.
My assessments
nbme15 237 3 days before
nbme16 234 12 days before

ugh about a week left before my exam and i'm sitting at 239 (NBME 15). my goal is >240. is this a joke?

worst part is when i go over my incorrect answers. a lot of them were questions where i was down to choosing between two answer choices and picked the wrong one in the end. 🙁

Hi i am expecting my step 1 result today. Does any one knows what time usually they send the email!!pretty nervous around here!!

This is getting to my nerves now....Gave my exam on 20th august so hope they send it out on 3rd wednesday and do not let me wait one more week

Well, I told you all I was better on practice than real. I guess I did not guess right too many times.
211. Shocked but at least I passed. Does not affect my residency choice, etc. so in the long run it does not matter.

I just suck at standardized test. Apparently, always will. Anyways, there it is for all that wanted to know. I told you I would report my actual score regardless. Guess you should not take advice from me about how to do well obviously...lol.

Congrats to those that did well.

Hey man its not a bad score. and the best part about usa residency is that scores are not the only judge of your chances of getting into residency. U just need to keep working hard and you will definitely achieve your goal...

Man I ll take a P and anything over 200 lol , even though I was doing decent on practice tests you never know !

To tell you a truely inspiring story. my elder brother failed in step 1, step 2 and cs first attempt. cleared step 1 with 85 percentile( 2digit scores back then) and similar score on step 2. he didnt loose hope and did mph and some research job for a year and finally ended up with neurology residency at a decent place. scores are not everything and us medical system understands that, what counts is persistent hard work and dedication..just cling on to it a little more and little more and a little more.....

Glad you passed. I also scored less than my NBME practice tests. I scored about average (220 ish).. My COMLEX level 1 is 586. I don't know if it's average or above.. Just have work on STEP2. Good Luck..

I fased the ugly monster on Aug 26... Now it is giving me nightmares about the score... It was really hard too many guesses to make and most of the questions were nothing like UWorld or NBMEs... I feel really frostrated
Now my question is ... When should I expect to get my score report (sat step 1 on Tuesday August 26) ???????
