Just heard from Roseman!! Acceptance #2. Contacted by phone at 4:30. Also accepted from Case Western this morning by email. Schools are still sending out acceptances. Its not over yet : )
 
So blessed! I got into all three schools that I interviewed at (out of 7 I applied to!) now I have to decide where to go 🙂
Acceptance #1:
School: UNLV
Notification date: 12/1/15
Method of notification: email
Residency: Idaho
GPA (science, overall): 3.6, 3.6
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 21/21/19/24/none

Acceptance #2 Loma Linda
Notification date: 12/1/15
Method of notification: phone call

Acceptance #3 Midwestern- AZ
Notification date: 12/1/15
Method of notification: phone call

Tips to any future applicants: DONT APPLY LATE! I am a second time applicant and got wait listed at three schools last year and this year I got in because I applied as early as possible and last cycle I applied by October.

I'm a re-applicant too. I learned my lesson to apply early this year!
Got accepted to UNLV and MWU-AZ too!
 
Not the first MUSC acceptance in this thread. Not many on the MUSC thread either, I just wish they would call or email like the other schools.

Congrats to everyone with acceptances, but I just want to remind everyone to not sit on acceptances you will turn down for too long. The quicker we turn them down the quicker they can be given back out and that could very well save someone from having to put down (and then losing) a $1000 deposit on a safety school.

UConn is definitely one of my top choices. It's going to be difficult deciding where to go.

Rejection 1-2: UCONN (email, w/o interview. sent in app later than rest on Sep 30), Harvard
Random Emails: UCSF, USC (both saying I'm still in the running but just that a decision hasn't been made)

Residency: PA
AADSAS mail-out date: 6/25/2015
Application complete date: 7/24/2015
GPA (science, overall): 3.4, 3.4
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 24/23/21/27/none under 17

I just got that email from UCSF too! What did they mean that they have extended the first round of offer and will have additional rounds in the near future..."a decision may not be made until mid-Feburary" so near future is mid-Feb??

I think they give another round of offers in January, then another in February. For UCSF, there are more spots in the class than there were acceptances given today.

I think it was GPA in my case - everyone that got an interview on SDN seemed to have a 3.9+. I try not to let it bother me (I'm pretty confident I'll end up being successful with or without Harvard), but rejection always hurts.

Yeah my gpa was lower than that also. It seems with harvard you can't have any 'flaws' on your application.

All of those sleepless nights and times we couldn't go out with friends or family because we were studying our butts off. Times we doubted ourselves and thought we might not be doctors one day. And the days we had to juggle everything and reorganize schedules just to get 5 extra points in a class. It was all worth it. Goodnight guys! So happy for everyone 😍

My stats are: batch 7-8, 23AA 20TS 27PAT 24RC 30QS, 3.5/3.5, a publication in Psychobio, research, 3 yrs of community service, and 80 hrs of shadowing. CA resident but went to high school in OH. I thought Case was definitely a safety but I guess not... 🙁

I'm in a similar situation :/
UCSF, UCS, MW-AZ --> post-interview silence.
UCLA, NYU, UNE haven't invited for an interview yet... No rejections yet.
My stats are: batch 7-8, 24AA, 26TS, 21PAT, 20RC,20QS, with 3.9/3.9. with a year of research experience, 300 shadowing, no community service, and CA resident.
There is still time so don't loose hope 🙂
Btw, did you interview at UCSF and got rejected?

Let's wait! Don't give up! I think you applied too late though... I think applying early in June is key when applying... But you still have 4 schools to hear from!!! Keep the faith!!!
