I know this is quite early but most American Students have finished giving the test for this year.
I am an IMG and have been prepping for the steps since quite some time and have seen Phloston, Transposony's and others' threads for their respective years and how helpful they have been.

I intend on giving step in Jan.. let's share timetables, plans and other stuff on how everyone intends on taking on this beast.

P.S. : I think it is not that early.. the 2015/2016 threads were started in September/October.. but in true SDN gunner style..i wanna start it in August.. 🙂

When I logged into nbme this morning I saw a new notice at the top that reads "Request official transcript on the Records Page."

Is it a sign? Can this be the permit of our generation?
no lol you have to get the transcript bc the score page disappears after 120 days i believe and when you apply for aways in 4th year/anything that requires scores you need your transcript.

took exam on 23 june ,didnt get result today and still online ecfmg website doesn't show the date that i took exam and score report date
should i call ecfmg?

I guess it doesn't hurt to call? But maybe 6/23 test scores aren't coming out today? I guess we'll see soon enough when people get their scores and post here.

I don't know about the ecfmg site but the nbme website is weird and I don't know how to interpret the presence or absence of links and dates and other information.

thank you so much for replying
I will call them

I had the same date. Let me know what they say
I called them they said we can't tell you exactly when you can get your result but if you didn't get email today then maybe next Wednesday and I asked about ECFMG online web , why didn't update exam date and score report date ,they said after releasing score we will update it.

Thank you for letting us know!
A lot of people never get an email, though, and still receive their scores.

On the other hand, we didn't get an email and our permit didn't disappear this week/today, so...;/

Doesnt sound like anyone has gotten an email yet. Thanks for info

FWIW on june 28 i received an email at 3 pm (im assuming the system crashed because the email was stamped at around 9 am). I checked my score at 11 on the website tho

For June 19th-20 whatever people. I am solely relying on the trend from last year. For those that don't know they also had 4th of July last year. They all received their score per the 2016 sdn experience forum. I don't know why it should be different. This has nothing to do with all the permit jazz going on here.
Looking like no scores for 19th people unless they tend to release scores in batches today and some haven't been released 🙁

Yeah this is freaking ridiculous. Don't know what changed from last year to this year. Pissed off right now.

If thats the case then they aren't even releasing a full week of scores this week. Left over people from 12th and then it seems like 13-17th. Pretty crappy compared to last year.

seriously what the heck happened? Did these guys decide to take an extra vacation the whole week of July 4th. Crazy I feel it doesn't even take that much work for an automated system to do everything for you

Figured I'd close the loop.

214. Really wanted to break 230 but would have been content with over a 220.

Now to regroup and figure out a game plan to move forward with.

Best NBME was a 211, but it was a month before my test. Looks like I hit a bit of burnout. So it goes.

(There are quite a few expletives in my head....)

Your score doesn't define you, keep your head up! You passed, its over, now you can put it behind you and move on.

While I wouldn't mind getting scores today (40% hoping they release in batches), 60% of me also wouldn't mind another week of ignorance.

Hey guys I averaged 241 on NBMEs (3) and I scored 235 on the real thing. I have heavy research background during first 2 years of medical schools as well as scoring well on most classes. I'm wondering if my score decreases my chances of surgery. I am just looking for honest gauge of where I stand

5/15/17 Uworld Sim 1: 243
5/30/17 Free 120 - 219
6/1/17 Uworld Sim 2: 237
6/6/17 NBME 17: 223
6/9/17 NBME 18: 225
6/11/17 NBME 19: 217
Real Deal 6/15/17: 237

The fact that I did better than any of the NBMEs I took was a bit of a welcome surprise. Im very happy with my score, and thank you all of the people here for the advice in helping me get it.

I'm interest in EM, so I think that my score only helped my chances

Still in shock about my score, took test on 6/12 - walked out feeling like ****. self predicted a 210-220. Been a long time lurker on here and really appreciate when people post about there scores and experiences, sort of kept me sane through the process. Figure I should give back. I go to a DO school, was a little above average in most of my courses. Never honored a system. Scored a 28 on my mcat.

UWSA 1 4/30 - 228
nbme 16 5/6 - 207
nbme 15 5/12 - 217
nbme 13 5/20 - 232
nbme 19 5/29 - 219
UWSA 2 6/1 - 220
Nbme 17 6/3 - 232
Nbme 18 6/8 - 232
Actual step one score : 244

Confidence is everything. Walking into that test I knew I did everything I could to prepare and the hardest part was over all I had to do was answer a few questions right. Best of Luck to everyone who received their scores today.

Congrats to everyone receiving their scores today! Remember that a score doesn't define you and that no matter what you'll be an awesome physician!

EDIT: With that said... let's see some scores!!!

Never posted on here before, but maybe this will be of help to others:

I took 6.5w to study and did at least 12h a day. Test date: 6/15.
I Read over FA once during this time, and went through pathoma twice during dedicated (the last read through was 3 days before taking NBME 19). I watched all of the sketchy micro and sketchy pharm vids as well. I did 1-3 UW random, timed blocks every day during the 6.5 weeks. about 8 days before my exam I started to consistently reach between 70%-85% on these random, timed blocks. I heard that a UW ave in the 70s equated to a step score in the 240s... seemed to hold true!

Prelim NBME 16: 211
UWSA1 (4 weeks out): 241
UWSA2 (2.5 weeks out): 247
NBME 19 (exactly 1 week before Step): 232
Free 120 (3 days before): 87%
Real Deal: 245!

Good luck everyone!
