I’m curious about Vidant. Looks like they haven’t sent interview offers but have sent out a general survey to screen applicants. I assumed the sent the CASPER quiz to everyone, but it seems they’ve rejected at least two individuals. Without overthinking things, how good of a sign is it that we got the quiz? No love for DO’s on the interview front? Or is this just selection bias and there are very few DO’s who are on here posting? I noticed last year there were no interviews under DO either (I’m a DO who will be applying next year)
 
This may a silly question, but a program asked me to clarify my residency end date as I put 07/2019 and since fellowship training generally begins 07/01/2019. I put 07/2016 - 07/2019 so it would show a complete 36 months of IM as per ACGME requirements. Should I worry that other programs may think I wont be able to start on time or should I be ok?

If your residency ends in June, then it should be 07/2016 - 06/2019. No idea if will affect things though, probably won't.
 
Was Vidant only offering 1 time slot for you all? I have a flight and will be in the air... Seems like a lot of hassle for a program to do this.

N=1, but there are many programs that are DO friendly. I suspect it’s the usual SDN selection bias of anxious, high powered, already successful medical students and residents. Hence the threads where people are worried about their matching chances with a 260 step 1, honors everywhere, and five publications.

I think they may monitor you via webcam to make sure no one is cheating. I also have a flight that day, but will be completing the test in the airport lol.

There are many DO friendly programs out there for cardiology. You are definitely not at a disadvantage. If you have good scores, performed well in residency, did research, and have good letters, you will get interviews.

Some of the places people have interviewed or matched for non-invasive cardiology in the northeast that I know personally:

Lenox Hill, Northwell (NS-LIJ), Montefiore,Winthrop, RWJ, University Hospital-Newark/NJMS, Lankenau, Drexel, Temple, Penn (yes the HUP), Cooper, Lehigh Valley, Georgetown, VCU, Vanderbilt, Colorado, Ohio State, Cleveland Clinic, Dartmouth, Brown, Stony Brook, Rochester, Allegheny, Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic.
 
It looks like IMGs have not got many interviews yet. I have none yet. Getting nervous.

Like many people have said, most interviews even for American grads, have not gone out yet. Just think about it, the programs that have sent out invites are a very small fraction of the total number of programs. Why stress? Every year, IMGs and DOs interview and match, so clearly it’s going to happen again. I understand that the waiting sucks, but stay positive.

I agree, the current list is less than 10% of the programs in the nation.

Guys I have an issue

I graduated medical school 8 years ago and had a lot of difficulty tracking down my MSPE.

After calling a few programs, I was told the MSPE was not crucial and I should have no problem being considered for interviews.

So, I decided not to upload anything. However it seems that my application has been marked ‘incomplete’.

I am now in a panic, trying to track down me MSPE (starting with my residency).

Would greatly appreciate your thoughts. If my application is marked incomplete because of no MSPE and I can’t find it, is it game over?

Dean letter ? That would be ok if you can get that.
If not then in addition to trying to get mspe the only other option is to contact every program to ask what’s their policy on mspe. I had gotten similar impression that it’s not necessary for a lot of programs. Maybe incomplete marking is from eras rather than programs ; which obviously doesn’t help if programs can see that status . You should have mspe in your residency file but not sure if they will release that to you .
