Hello! Is anyone else excited about going to the Ben-Gurion University-Columbia Medical Center Medical School for International Health in Beersheba, Israel this Summer?

I recently sent in my deposit to confirm my place in the Class of 2011. Looking for other global health-minded medical students!

As a grad of BGU are you considered a foreign medical graduate?

By that I mean, do you need to do 5th pathway for US liscensure?

(Edited so as to not seem trollish)

Congrats on BGUCUMSFIH!!!!!!!

Yes, we will be considered foreign medical graduates.
No, we are not required to do the 5th year, from what I can tell. Unless you choose to do it. However, BGU-CU grads get very competitive residencies. See: http://cpmcnet.columbia.edu/dept/bgcu-md/residencies.html

Congratulations! I was considering BGU, but I have some family ties that keep me in the US.

What type of international medicine do you wish to practice?
