I was there less than a week ago and got the impression it would be a bit later in the cycle (late march).

Yeah there was a post about interviews running late... I hope people will post anything they get though.

Hey DoctorKevin,

I intervieiwed with you... (remember me? 🙂).... so now it comes down to final decisions for both of us. I really like Cornell too.... hopefully it all works out. All of this waiting is stressing me out to no end.... I'm waiting for four schools, all my top choices, to tell me if they're going to let me in... and all of them will let me know "sometime in march". I HATE this waiting; driving me absolutely nuts!

Well, that's it for my rant! Try to stay sane!!

Of course I remember you!!! Good luck with Penn and everything else. I didn't apply to Penn and I skipped my Pitt interview. Luckily I'm only really waiting on Cornell and USC, and now the UCSF joint program once I do the interviews. I figure BU is out of the question at this point.

But yeah waiting is really tough. Its hard to get anything else done. I hope my letter of intent to Cornell helps, I'd really go there over UCSF or any other school without question and I hope they appreciate that. and I hope they send the emails out soon.
 
I'm sorry to hear you skipped Pitt... it's an amazing school... the only reason I might not go there if accepted is because it's so far from home and my sweetheart.... other than that, I would be there in a heartbeat (Save for maybe an acceptance from Penn, Yale, and Cornell...)... but anyway....

Good luck!!!!! I'm obsessing over here, on the other side of the country! 🙂
 
we started getting notifications on march 12th last year, so I'd anticipate about two more weeks before decisions go out this year.

You can see them making decisions if you look in the window on 69th Street. All I'm going to say is that they didn't look too pleased.

ARGH!!! My spring break starts next friday... that's right, the 12th... so starting the 13th, I will be without phone/email for seven days... so i'm not going to be able to find out anything until the 19th 🙁.... God, it looks like I'll be finding out about all of my schools at around the same time... i'm telling you, if they all reject and/or indefinetely waitlist me, i'm going to have a heart attack... 🙁 So stressful!! And to think I want to do EM!!! Eeeek!! :scared: :scared: :scared:

so people might want to check thier email...I just got my acceptance to Cornell five minutes ago via email. It says official letters will go out on monday. Good luck!!!!

well, i forgot to say congrats mky, why on earth are you declining though? well, there is still hope for the waitlist i guess.

the office did say march 15th though, maybe that's for waitlists and rejections?
 
first- Doctorkevin, I wouldn't count yourself out of the running yet- these things are usually sent in batches from what I can tell
 
what time was the email sent ? its weird that its a) very late over there on friday and b) way before the anticipated date

maybe you are an early acceptance?

and my email says 2:50pm, but it's stamped pacific time. that is odd. but I've been obsessively checking my email every five minutes during the day, so someone is working late.

When I spoke to another school a few weeks ago, the woman said people were working til 9pm during this period. I imagine it's pretty crazy in admissions offices right now.

I am starting to get the feeling that Weill accepts on a rolling basis and gives out the remaining 10 or so spots (+ waitlist and rejections) on March 15th.
 
This is not what I've been told. Supposedly a handful of people got them in December and the majority of us were to wait till March for the majority of the decisions (both ways) to go out at around the same time.

This is how USC does things though, as those of us applying have learned.
 
I hope you are right and SDN just happens to have a high % of early acceptees active. Anyone know how many acceptances they give out?

right, dean bardes did NOT seem like the "blowin smoke" type. i'm guessing she was lucky and added into the early acceptance group. i think the majority of the decisions haven't been made yet or at least i will delude myself with this and have a good weekend for now.

the anticipation is maddening...almost seems like a decision, whether acceptance or bleh, will be anti-climactic.
 
congrats coops ... did you get into columbia as well?

no e-mail here ... although both my interviews didn't go very well, so i'm not really expecting anything ... 🙁

I got an email too, sent out this afternoon. they said that a package would be sent out on monday. I interviewed in middle Jan. hope that helps
 
No. I got an email from WashU about revisit weekend, haha.

Nothing from Cornell so far, but I did get into P&S.

I don't know what to expect, my first interview went spectabulous, but I have no sense of the second, in fact, I think it went poorly for me.

Who knows. Wanna say congrats to superk--definitely a man for the ages, he got in to Duke and Cornell so far. Man, you are gonna have a hard time pushin those med schools away 😉

I didn't get anything either, so don't worry... I did call them a few days ago, and they said that decisions will be sent in a week or two, so I really think that it's too early to worry about it right now.... 🙂
