What the hell?!? My GW app was complete beginning of August (it was one of my very first completed) and I still haven't received an interview invite. Has anyone received a GW rejection yet? Maybe I should be waiting on one of those instead of an interview.

Definitely early for interviews. This is something that makes me feel a little better: my cousin interviewed at UC Davis last April - yes, not until April - and is starting there this fall. Whenever I get discouraged, I think about that to remind myself how late in the game things can happen and still turn out well. Good luck everyone! By the way, I've got 20 secondaries finished, 16 filed as complete, and 5 or so to go, 0 interviews.

Ha, I don't think you have too much to worry about there super-high-MCAT-score-guy. They're probably doing some kind of alphabetical thing or something. Or maybe you're MCAT is so high that they don't want to interview you because they know you won't end up going there anyway.

by January, I'd be concerned - you could end up getting waitlisted and accepted in the summer though, so it's not over til it's over

I feel a bit better seeing that you didn't get the auto-interview at Pitt either. They must look for 3.7+ ?? I am still trying to figure that one out. I thought my MCAT would help my application a lot, but seeing that I have not been invited for interview from Columbia, BU, Pitt or AECOM (where I was *accepted* last year), I am beginning to wonder what's going on with my application...

Honestly, people, stop obsessing! It's too f'ing early to be going crazy like this! Get off this rediculous website for awhile cuz this SDN population is not representative of the general applicant population and they're all the "really crazy premeds" who're trying to make you feel like a loser cuz you haven't been invited anywhere yet. Don't worry, you'll still be a doc when you get that later interview and acceptance. NObody will give a crap WHEN you got accepted on the first day of med school cuz you'll be accepted and that's all that counts. BREATHE! Crapshoot!

i'm feeling the same way about the ol' G-dub. I really want to go there, I love the program and DC, but I have also been complete for over a month with no interview invite yet. Normally I wouldn't worry after only a month, but they've been handing out so many interviews that I am getting discouraged 🙁

Why didn't you attend AE? I have heard that schools get peeved by reapplicants who were admitted to their program the year before, which is why I am curious as to the circumstances behind your decision not to attend. You're doing awesome so far with UPenn and I am sure many more are to come!!!!

Thanks 🙂 I have been looking at both threads a lot as well! I am really excited about my Penn interview, and I hope that this is a sign of good things to come. I was getting pretty discouraged (look at the "Northwestern problems" thread--they are rejecting great people left and right!). I hope you can graduate from this thread to the other soon

Yeah I'm thinking there's something weird going on with GW. just so you don't feel like you guys are the only ones... I already got interviews at Columbia, UPenn, and Georgetown and nothing yet from GW...I mean I know its early, but I only think its weird because I've seen that so many other people have gotten interviews...I wonder...
