Its a way of determining someone's academic competitiveness.

The formula is gpa*10 + MCAT score. So lets say your MCAT is a 26 and your gpa is a 3.5. You multiply the 3.5 by 10 so you get 35. You add the 35 to the 26 so you get 61. So with those stats your LizzyM would be a 61.

You need around a 67 LizzyM to be a borderline candidate for low tier MD schools. I think being 58+ means you have a decent shot at low tier DO schools.
