Lynch TRH. I believe the part of trying to find each other, but it could have been a mistake on nohika's part thinking TRH was still Kate when she was revived. I know that happened with me. Kate's name on the list isn't something I can't ignore.
 
Re: no wolves.

I'm having trouble getting on board with that. It strikes me as unlikely, and it strikes me as a huge win for the wolves to convince people there are no wolves.

Not saying it can't happen. Just.... It's low on my radar, ya know?

Trying to find each other sounds reasonable. Jam could be messing with people, but she had to actively take the TRH out from beside Kate Austen when you were revived. So it's not a mistake. I don't know if SnS came back different, but obviously both SOV and I did.

I am no longer Sun, and my new ressurected role doesn't have posting restrictions (to my knowledge)--yay! I can also confirm in my Sun role PM, I was told who I could PM and who they each were. And I know Devyn was told who I was and that she could PM me, because she started the convo.

Unlynch alors, lynch Dwin. The pilot seems like a weird character.

And whoever said emoticons are scary----you're crazy. They are the best thing since sliced bread, and I know SOV will back me up on that!😍

hmm... did Kate get revived in the show? I know Sayed was revived in the show (but turned crazy when he did and was infected, right?)

i find it odd that everyone else seems to have been revived as someone different...

plus, wasn't SOV one of the other's and is now the dog... IF the other's were wolves, then SOV would theoretically either be a bad guy converted to good guy (hence why he can't talk, but would still be able to lynch appropriately unless not allowed to lynch the other's) or the other's aren't bad guys? SOV, maybe you can help clear up this:

give me one woof for the others are good
two woofs if the others were bad...

and a picture of a dog humping a leg if you aren't allowed to indicate who any other the others are

and a picture of a dog taking a crap if you know nothing of this...
 
aaah!! Richard Alpert. Probably a wolf (though I can see him not being a wolf). In any case, dwin lied, and liars terrify me. Glad to be rid of him.
 
Not all the others are bad. It depends on who specifically is bad and terrifying (Ben Linus, Ethan, Mikhail).
 
Well, I am going to take a guess that Richard Alpert is not good since that is not the name Dwin gave us for who he was. So, I am thinking that was a good lynch for the villagers. :woot:

good job everyone, as Dwin clearly was bull****ting us cause Richard Alpert isn't the pilot, and he actually has revealed a bit of the game, since he is the adviser to the leader of the others, and if he didn't want that known, the others are definitely highly suspicious now...

here is exactly what I told Dwin, cause now I'm pretty sure what I told him is now shared at least with bad guys (or the others, which I take it to be bad)...

Villager here, semi-minor role(semi-important character in the show, just not realized as a great role), but one thing I can add is that I am a character that, in the show, does get the "infection" and no where in my role description is there anything regarding the infection mentioned. I worry that the infection can be a conversion tool, and really don't want to get converted in this game... i'd like to get a game where I can play it as a villager again...

so, if we start hearing things about the infection or about potential conversions, then people can look into me. For now, I'm not evil though..."


Two plane survivors were infected, Sayid and Claire, and we already know who sayid was...

hence why I was trying to figure out the infection thing early on.

I'm not necessarily saying it's a mistake, but I am Kate still. Might have been to protect me from instant wolf kill again but rest assured that it should not be so easy to get rid of me again.

Maybe you guys didn't come back as your original character, but I was under the impression that Kate is a pretty central character (at least in the earlier seasons) and I have a very useful role for the villagers, so I just assumed that someone resurrected me for that reason. It's possible that Jam has left it that way to cause confusion too, I don't know.

It wouldn't hurt to clarify if she feels up to it. Yeah, Kate is pretty central but 3/4 of us are different and I don't see Sun or Michael as minor in the least. Sun had a pretty useful role for the villagers as well.

I guess it's throwing me that we've gotten rid of a bunch of others but none of them have been listed in red. I know it isn't a requirement for wolves to be listed in red but it's been pretty traditional for a while now. I don't know if the others have their own win condition or they're just a separate grouping of "true" villagers. My hunch is toward the second but I really don't know.

Either way I think it's a win. If the others have a separate win condition from villagers ... I want them dead. If they are wolves ... I want them dead. So I call it a victory.

And I tend to think they are wolves. Dwin lied about his identity and turned out to be an other (ok, advisor to the others ... whatever). That screams wolf.

My only concern is whether he's permanently dead (based on his character).

I was told that based on who I was, I'm linked to TRH. She's the only one I can PM. Jam never answered when I PMed her and asked if Kate was aware of the link. I've known about the link since the game started, but just have been busy and whatnot (you know - having a life and stuff like that? Revolutionary concept, I understand).

I'm not comfortable saying why on the thread, but I am reasonably certain that she hasn't been converted/resurrected as a wolf/whatever.

Oh, make no mistake, Dwin's character screams sketchy and wolf http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Richard_Alpert

he was "advisor to the leader of the others" meaning he isn't as important as Ben Linus.

Another thought, but Hurley eventually becomes a leader of the others, and walt does apparently join the others later on... not sure where to think of the alliance to start the game though...

This has been my mindset from the beginning. However, I'm starting to wonder if it's possible that they are just a subset of villagers - I presume they can PM one another like wolves do but don't know this for certain - since in the end it seems they are an overall "good" force and characters that are "good" (like Walt) go over to them eventually. I really don't know.

I am 'technically' an Other, but I am not linked to anyone, do not have a separate win condition, and I am a villager.

Hmph.

We all know I'm an obstinate, grumpy, stubborn old man ... but I just can't get my head wrapped around the Others being villagers in this game. They're either separate with their own win conditions or they're wolves. Maybe I'm wrong, but I call Boba Fett on them being anything other than bad for those of us who are actually straight-up villagers.

I can't recall, did you role reveal previously, or is this new information coming out. I mean, yeah, there are definitely some good people that are at one time or another associated with the Others, including Jack. It seems someone like Charles Widmore would be good too.

I can see Locke being an alias for the man in black/smoke monster as well, or locke himself being a bad guy.

Ugh, so confusing, and i think Jam is purposely not putting names in red to mess with us...

My guess would be that the howl and whimper are because he can't actually tell us even if we question him. It wouldn't be fair if Jam let him just tell us who all the others are so we can kill them. Even if it would be really nice. 😛

yeah, there is probably very strict rules on him... almost cruel to revive a wolf as a villager like this...

now, he did clearly woof twice... if he couldn't say, i'd guess he would have said nothing at all...

now, we have to figure it out... i have a theory, and will check into it a little later....

New info. I think a lot of people relying solely on wiki for the others = bad are incorrect. Good characters are killers before getting to the island (Sawyer, Kate, sayid, jin). I think each character has to be evaluated singularly. It was a complicated show. The Others are certainly a good place to start. Here are who is likely a wolf (I have seen all the shows, albeit it was a while ago).

Others = Ben Linus, Mikhail, Ethan. I could see Ben being the one who kills with the smoke monster.

Non-others = Charles Widmore (could he the source of the gunshots, as he had mercenaries). Man in Black.

Add Richard, and those are prob original wolves (pick either Mikail or Ethan, as they are not major characters).

Locke was not a bad character really until he was possessed by the man in black.

didn't widmore come back to the island to prevent the man in black from escaping? that's why i said it may be possible for him to be a good guy... but yeah, i am quesitoning the mercenary group's involvement...

Yeah, he is bad. Doesn't have redeeming qualities. It just doesn't seem like a good use of time contemplating whether people like Widmore are bad (he is) or Hurley and Walt being bad (they are going to be good).
 
Maybe I am wrong and all others are bad. Maybe I am not being considered an other.

This would make Juliet and others with redeeming qualities bad. Not sure I see that.

thats fine. you didn't include goodwin on your list of likely wolves, so i just wanted to clarify... yeah, i guess we need to find Widmore first before worrying about if he is good or bad, and I agree, i don't think walt would be bad.

For those of you questioning how active I've been, I said in the sign up thread that I wouldn't be terribly active. In the next five weeks, I graduate vet school and then have to move 3000 miles. So the little free time I have is generally devoted to packing or hanging out with my friends.

Anyway, my thoughts are that the Others are bad. I'm only a couple of episodes into season 2, but from what I've seen so far they're no bueno. I also think the mods are purposefully not putting the wolves names in red - I find it hard to believe we haven't managed to get a single wolf yet. And while some of the characters killed so far could maybe go either way, I don't think it's possible for Stanhope to be a good guy.

But I'm still confused about the resurrections, the polar bears (they only attacked once so far, right?), and the smoke monster. Items? Role abilities? Wolf abilities? No idea.
