In past years they've paid if you asked them to. No kidding. They won't offer, but if you ask they'll pay unless things have changed. Let me know what they say either way. I think they're betting on enough people not asking because they're too timid so that they can save some money.

Interviewed at a couple of programs and I was fairly surprised and impressed with Drexel, especially BME.

Nice, UCLA is in the lead with 4 😛 . It's weird because i dont think there are any active UCLA MSTP SDN members (someone prove me wrong). I heard there are 25+ coming to 2nd visit and if SDN is any indication, they might be in trouble like UCSD was last year 😱 .
 
UCLA is at the top (i.e. TOP of my list). Do you think that if UCLA has too many people accepting that it will hurt them (or more importantly... me)? Did UCSD or UCSF have long term consequencies for accepting too many people?

Not sure what you mean...did you apply this year? or are you looking to apply next year?

If you're looking to apply next year, UCSD is a good example for what happens to a school that has to deal with an over-accepted class: 16 people accepted for a class of 10-12 last year, so this year they only accepted 9 up front and will only take people off the waitlist as people withdraw their aceptances.

If you applied this year, then if a lot of people accept their UCLA offers, it certainly hurts you if you're on the waitlist.

Nice going titan... there aren't many better places in the world to reside in than the bay area, especially the south bay around palo alto (I used to work at Roche Palo Alto down the street and loved the area)! Congratulations on your decision.

Appreciate the congrats.

I was actually set to tough it out on Penn's waitlist as long as possible, and was surprised at how quickly it moved. Pretty happy with the result, though. Ecstatic, actually. Yup.

p.s. My bad about removing Cognition from the LA list.
