On the official NBME website, they sell practice exams for $20.

How similar are these exams to the read deal?

I got 79th percentile on my internal medicine practice exam on there... is that what i can expect to get in real life?

For IM, I got the exact same score on the $20 NBME practice medicine exam as the actual shelf. ANd it is not "percentile" i don't think, it just a score out of 100

I did a good bit better on that IM practice test than the real deal, but pretty much the exact same on the peds NBME as on the real test. That probably doesn't help much haha. I think they're helpful for extra practice questions and at least some peace of mind.

For IM and Surgery, the score I got on the $20 Clinical Science Mastery Series test was the exact same as the real one.
