In a way, this thread only really illustrates those programs that have a modicum of class.
Fact is, you're just not going to hear a damned thing back from most of them. The Match will come and go, and you'll maybe always still wonder if they ever even got your application.

So let this be a lesson to all of you, when someday you're in a position to hire & fire. Be kind enough to acknowledge receipt, and straight-forward enough to tell the ones you're not interested in "no thanks".
I'm not in anesthesia anymore (new specialty, new state), but when I was, we always sent notifications to people we weren't interested in. It helped to dramatically reduce the inquiring phone calls at what's usually one of the busiest times of the year.
And for the record, I miss anesthesia. 🙂
May we inquire as to what influenced your decision to change specialties? If it's not intruding...
