Ok guys, we have lots of official threads, lets open new one for rejection!

I got rejected from Indiana yesterday.
AA 20, TS 21, PAT 19
My undergrad GPA isn't so pretty (but my grad GPA is a 4.0!) I was a bad undergrad. I'm prepared for this to be the first rejection of many.

wow...we are in the same boat TS-20 AA-19 PAT-20
Also have an ugly undergrad GPA but a 4.0 post-bac

Yeah, UMKC is tough if you're not in one of their network states.....MO, HI and a couple others that don't have dental schools

Got rejected from Colorado, wasn't really expecting anything from them but I applied because it was close to home. Case also said I need to send them transcripts after this upcoming fall semester and they will re-review my appllication at that point.

I do have an interview at Columbia though.

Overall GPA 3.3
DAT 21 Science 21 AA 22 PAT

at least you guys are hearing early.. last year i had to wait until almost april to get rejected from a couple schools. getting rejected early is much better than being on 'hold'

i was a wreck all winter and couldnt plan for anything else

Sounds like Case is a crapshoot. Nova...good thing I didn't apply there!

UMKC gave me the boot! When I spoke with them they said they ONLY accept students from their network states. I must have read old information when applying, because I swear I read on their site that they accepted ~10% of their students from outside the network. Oops. I hope AADSAS considers my UMKC application fee a tax deductible charitable donation!! 😀

I'm far from perfect 🙁

Hoping my DATs can make up for my undergrad and get them to at least open my app

I think Nova places a lot of emphasis on GPA over DAT and they want people who took lots of upper level bio courses i.e. microbio, immunology, biochem, anatomy. So maybe some of you didn't have those?

I took Genetics and biochem avging an A- in them. Then again, my stats are nothing to brag about.

I should have read a little more before applying to UMKC too. Im in Tennessee. my scores are lower than yours, so i am expecting to get rejected too 🙁

I have an MBA, but dont think that will help too much as it looks like you have a masters too

Yea I agree about the upper level science courses. That's what Dr. Lippman told me as well. I got rejected last year coz of my low DAT score and I went to see Dr. Lippman and I asked him about my GPA. He said that I only need to worry about bringing up my DAT score and that my GPA is fine compared to the upper level science courses that I have taken.

I do agree with the gpa though, Nova was my first invite with my old DAT scores so I'm assuming they overlooked my DAT scores because of the gpa.

IMO, for 2009 Cycle under 22 AA and 3.6 GPA there is not safe school.

Rejected from Loma Linda. The letter was dated 8/27/08.

My stat is 3.6 GPA with 19/20/19 (AA/TS/PAT).

They said my numbers and personal statement were not competitive enough. Go figure.

Maybe I should expect a rejection letter from Nova soon.

Rejection from Loma Linda. They updated my status from Under Review to Application Denied. I think I can't cry because it seems even more competitive than last year.

I guess I shouldn't get shocked if I receive more rejection letters.
