Ohio Acceptance Letters?

I was wondering if anyone who has gotten into Ohio State has actually recieved an acceptance letter yet? I was offered a seat on the spot after my interview but haven't gotten an acceptance in writing yet...

I recieved an email saying that I had been accepted and then letter arrived at my home address about 3-4 days later (I'm not sure if they always send them home or if they sent mine there because it was so close to Christmas Break)

I received my letter at my school address one week after my status changed online.

I went out of town the day after they called me, and by the time I got back 4 days later the paper letter was there.

If they accept you on the spot, it may take a little while for the paperwork to go through. For me, it took almost a week or so for my online status to change...I was not at school to find out when the mail came in.

hey guys, my online state just changed today from "referred" to "decision" (finally!). i was wondering how long it took to hear from them once this happens? thanks

Hi Keygirl1. My status just changed to "decision" too. I am out-of-state and I interviewed on 11/29.

My decision also changed to decision on a Thursday. For me that meant that the letter was generated (printed) on Friday and was shipped out the next Tuesday. I didn't get my letter in my mailbox until Thursday. If you call professional admissions they can't tell you whether or not you've been accepted, but they'll look your name up and tell you when its being generated/shipped. I called twice about my status (I'm that paranoid) and the woman said, although I can't give acceptances over the phone go ahead an celebrate. I don't know if all of them indicate an acceptance, but I would have gone crazy had I had to wait a week!! Good luck!

That is so cool that she said that!! I've always been impressed with the people at Ohio State, they are so nice and down to earth.
Every vet school has a right to be somewhat cocky about themselves, but the summer I spent in Columbus- they were 1000X more humble than what I have seen here at Colorado State (hence one big reason I am applying to Ohio State next year instead... even with CO residency). If only they had more sunshine in Ohio...😀

Haha, thanks. I do absolutely love the school (I go there for undergrad) and I think overall the faculty and administration at OSU is fantastic. I know what you mean about the sunshine, though. Right now it is bright and sunny, unfortunately its only about 5 degrees outside , kind of makes me wish I would have applied to a Southern school 😉
