I read that OCPM gives you an acceptance lettter at the end of the interview if chosen, is this correct? Have they done this in the past? Do they do this now? Also, does anyone know how they view Masters degrees, any special treatment or consideration?

Also, what is the procedure of acceptance for BARRY?

I have interviews coming up for both these schools so I would like to know what to expect. thanks

I don't specifically have an answer to your questions, but a good interview feedback resource is located at the link above the SDN page. It's proving very helpful to me. Most interviews are starting this month.

Right, that link is great. That is actually where I read that information initially. Some of the posts that mentioned acceptance letters the day of, were back in 2006 and 2007...I was just wondering if anyone knew any more specifics.

As of last year, Ohio did give conditional acceptance letters out the day of the interview. I don't believe they asked much about the graduate studies I was involved in, most questions were centered around general motivational areas (ie what are your goals? how will you accomplish them? etc.). Obviously your interview may differ from mine, but in general it was not a stressful event...

Barry mails out acceptances 7-10 days after the interview. The interview there was a little more stressful. They did question me about my graduate classes (what i thought of physiology and what grade i expected to receive) and about some undergraduate classes (o-chem... yuck...). Not really that stressful, don't freak and you will do fine.

If the school invited you to interview you are golden unless you make an ass of yourself.

Great, thank you for the information. What was the acceptance conditioned upon? What was your condition, or are all conditions the same? (ex: legitimizing GPA by mailing transcripts to ocpm)

Generally the acceptance letters are conditional upon you passing your classes and graduating from your program, proved by mailing your completed transcripts to them. If they have a more specific requirement (ie retaking the MCAT and earning a higher score) I assume they would let you know as well.

Good luck
