Ohio State interview?

I just got and interview invite to Ohio State but when i tried looking for recent interview feedback there were none. I was hoping that anyone that has had an interview would like to share their experiences with me. Also does anyone know of how many out of state students they accept. Oh and looking at the accepted thread it showed that there were a few acceptances and i was wondering why you chose other schools over OSU

The last time I checked...the tuition difference between out-of-state students and Ohio residents is $30,000+. Don't quote me on that, but it's a rip off. I'm sure they wouldn't mind favoring some out-of-state students just for some extra $$$ in their pockets. Good luck.

Hey there 🙂 The questions they ask will not surprise you- why are you doing this, explain how you studied for the OAT, what kind of shadowing have you done...etc. I did get accepted, but I feel like I could have done a lot better on my interview. We had the tour/info sessions in the morning so by the time the interview came I was so worked up that my brain was having a little trouble forming sentences! Make sure you sleep!

And sammyboy is right. I loved the school, the program, everything...but if I could go somewhere else (which I am) with an equally as good program and not have to pay close to ~70,000 my first year I definitely will. Even after qualifying for in-state tuition, SUNY is cheaper in that regard since they offer in-state tuition also. I also wanted to be closer to home (which is PA, so for the record- I am an out of state student. Me and the other two I interviewed with were out of state and also got accepted. I don't think it's even a consideration. They don't discriminate.)

If money is not an issue for you though, OSU has a great progam, great campus, and great staff! So good luck!

It's true that OSU has a pretty high out-of-state tuition, but with in-state the next 3 yrs, averaged out it still ends up less expensive than private schools (especially since the cost of living in Columbus is really reasonable), and has a wonderful program and atmosphere (from all I've gathered). I've been accepted and offered a scholarship elsewhere, but in the meantime, I was able to put down a refundable deposit with OSU, and am waiting until they give out scholarship offers (starting next Feb or so) to make my final decision. As for the interview day, we watched a video about the business aspect of their program, had a tour of the school and some of the campus with a couple of current students, ate lunch with them, and then did the financial aid session and the interview. Oh and if interested, they house interviewees for free at the EYE house (co-ed professional frat), and you can ask about sitting in on a class or 2 the morning before your interview day starts. Anyway, good luck! Everyone's really friendly, so don't worry. =)

Did OSU tell you that you can qualify as in-state after the first year at OSU? I was under the impression that if you're out of state, you stay out of state all 4 years.

OSU let's you claim in state after the first year, it's on their site.
