Ohio State last interview??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
How do they notify applicants for interviews? My status on AADSAS has been "Received/Application Complete" forever. Does this mean I still have hope or they just haven't gotten around to sending the rejection?

they send the invite via email then they change your AADSAS status

i got mine for the november date in like mid october so they may not send out invites for the december date until mid november! so just be patient, it looks like theyre just around the corner!

I completed my application midway through July and had my DAT scores sent in by the beginning of August. My AADSAS has shown "received/application complete" since the mid-end of August. I am an Ohio resident/OSU student so I am starting to wonder..I think I am gonna go in a talk with an advisor and see what things look like...I'll pass on any information I get thats useful. From what I have heard, they usually do the out of state interviews first and then the in-state starting sometime at the end of October. I am pretty sure that they are underway for the in-state students from what I have heard.

I received my invite almost a exactly a month before the actual interview date. If you are looking for the December invite, make sure to check your email around that time in November. Good Luck =)

That means next week! AHH!!

seriously does anyone have any news????

i interviewed with them last year on their last date (january) and was ohio-waitlisted, which is as good as a rejection.

as for this year i havent heard anything except my application is under review. wtf ohio state

I talked with someone from admissions today and they said that they will be sending out invites for the last interview within the next two weeks and that most likely it will consist of only in-state applicants...bummer

I wish they would just give a day. Oh well... I hope I have a morning surprise in my inbox soon.

I called an talked to a prof who said they have yet to meet about giving out interviews for the last interview date he said next couple of weeks we will hear one way or the other and that they normally meet on the weekends so hopefully this weekend

I was told from a 99.9% reliable source that the last interview invites would be sent out today, Nov 13th. I do not know how they will be delivered (mail, email, or telephone) but judging by the fact that "thatguy" received an invite this morning through email, I am guessing that those who did not receive an invite this morning or at the latest this afternoon, are not going to get one. That sorta sucks because, being an Ohio resident and OSU student, it was pretty much exactly where I wanted to go. I guess if things go real bad with all the other schools I will get another chance to apply next year! Also, I am 99.9% sure that this last interview date coming in December is almost exclusively for in-state applicants.

As an Ohio resident i am freaking out tooooo!!!!

I dont know how the three of us wouldnt get an interview from our state school. Our stats are good enough to get an interview. But hopefully my other interviews will work out because I start to lose hope at OSU😎

Yep talked a few friends who got interviews today for DEC 6th sounds like all the emails went out for that interview date.... GREAT

this is true - i was at the november date and they said the last date is exclusively for in-staters (there were maybe 40:20 instate: outstate students at the november date)

Well..for all of us who were hoping/planning on attending Ohio State and did not get an interview today, good luck with your other schools. I am going in Monday to speak with the admissions advisor at OSU to find out were I FU..I'll let you all know what she tells me as far as if she says anything about what they were looking for this year.

Persevere - I was there too from in-state. Is that why they kept saying 'oh all you guys are already in or you wouldnt be here. I got that vibe from all the professors and student helpers that the first group of in-staters were the shoe-ins... I hope so.

That would mean that 40 of us were almost shoe-ins, assuming you didn't absolutely bomb the interviews, and then 36 of the final 60 will be chosen as well..

I know they end up ranking everyone and taking the top 76 ohioians but i think were already the top 40 ranked ohioians, so barring dropping 40 spots...
