Ohio State Pre reqs

Hey All!

Has anyone else had an issue with the approval of their pre-reqs for Ohio State University?
It doesn't say anywhere on their website about expiration. But they have reached out and said some of my pre-reqs are not eligible to reach the 8/12 completed courses since I took them too long ago. The graduate and professional admission departments claim they have an "internal" policy with the Dental school for pre-reqs to be no older than 10 years from the beginning of dental school. So for this cycle, all have to be taken prior to Autumn 2017?

Has anyone had this kind of issue, and how did you solve it?

How old are these grades? Did you ask schools about expiration of prerequisites before you applied? The ten-year rule is quite common among dental schools.

I started taking pre-reqs in 2015. I didn't ask OSU specifically since there is nothing mentioned about Pre-reqs expiring. Some schools clearly specific ont their websites; I avoided or took into account what they shared.

Also, the pre -reqs they won't accept as valid were taken at OSU...

It is always a good idea to ask. OSU is very used to fielding questions from their own undergrads, so the specific point is moot to that audience.
