Does anybody know if they are any good or not? I ask because looking at the posts people make, I don't think i've seen a single person apply there nor talk about them at all. 😕 😛 :luck:

I was up there yesterday (though it was interviewing for the ortho program, so you could regard this entire post as heresay). That said...

The preclin lab is nice, clinics are a bit old, DMD tuition seemed a bit pricey (in- and out-of-state). Must buy your preclinical instruments. They do a lot as far as requirements go (i.e. seem well prepared coming out after 4 years), and do some of their own lab work. Portland is a fabulous place to live. Lots to do with the outdoors, great places to eat.

Of course, if you actually get a reply from anyone who's actually there, I'd put a whole bunch more stock in that than my casual observations. 🙂

I'm only a DS1, so I haven't had the full experience yet. Jpollei is dead on, that's a great description of the school. Yes, the clinic facilities are older but the only reason they haven't been improved recently is that a whole new school is being built in the next 4 years or so. The preclinic labs are absolutely amazing, I love spending time there. I have gotten the impression that the school is known for producing fabulous clinicians, this from WREB (board exam) proctors who have observed students from many schools.

If you have more specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them.
