Hi,

I was wondering if any out of state applicants are planning to go to OHSU. I am an in state applicant , I have not been invited for an interview yet, and it makes me really nervous.

I originally was really shooting for OHSU but I haven't heard a word from them. I see on www.predents.com that a few people interviewed and were accepted.

There's only like 3 interviews on predents, so obviously it is still very early in the game for OHSU. I wouldn't worry about it.

I was wondering about that too. I only receive the letter saying that I am in their highly competitive pool and haven't heard a word after that.

Same as STIG here... I got a letter saying I was in the highly competitive pool and that they were going to be a little slower than typical schools.

I was interviewed in late Nov. and accepted Nov. 30. I applied in Nov since I took the DAT Oct. 24. I'm from California. I definitely plan on attending OHSU. Good luck to everyone! It's a great school.

I interviewed in Oct and was accepted in late November. Alaska resident within the WICHE program (selected slightly over out-of-state applicants). My deposit is in, and I will see some of you in August!

Dudes, I just interviewed there on Tues. (Jan. 8th) and was accepted two days later!! Oh the benefits of interviewing post dec. 1st. Anyways, I am an Arizona resident (Whiche) and OHSU was my number 1 choice, mostly because Portland is where it's at (31knots, Menomena, the Joggers, the Decemberists, you know what I'm talking about! That's right, I based my choice strictly on the local bands in the area.). When I interviewed, they told us that only about 30 of their seats had been filled, so there is still plenty of room from everyone. I still can't believe I'm in!!

I interviewed there in nov and got accepted nov 30th, am an oregon resident with pretty average stats. I declined my spot there and chose to go to somewhere else instead so hopefully that helps you. OHSU was my number one choice forever until I interviewed there, its not a bad school but it didn't seem like a place where people were very happy about a lot of things.

I am an out of stater and just set up my interview but am not sure if I should go - i have never been to Portland and just wanted to check it out -- but I already got into Penn w/ a scholarship - any really good reason to go to check out Oregon?? anyone from there think the town is worth it / school?
