There are probably a few thousand centers. Mainly GI and some multi speciality surgery centers who may be affected by this ruling.
Talked with some of my GI friends and most are in denial. They've consulted their attorneys who claim while the company model and management fee model may not work. They claim there is another vague loophole in this ruling. It's all legal speak and difficult to understand this loophole and they claim they can't show it to me.
It's like a kid who's got too many hands in the cookie jar. Greed.
But I think until someone actually gets fined or goes to prison. They will continue to do this. Once someone gets nailed. They will cease.

It seems that under existing circumstances there would be extreme motive to employ the lowest cost provider. More money for the owners then....
