Honestly I've been getting better about it. Now my husband and I are mainly waiting to hear about waitlists/acceptances post-interview. I am anxious though because I was told by LECOM-Erie that I would be hearing from them soon and that was almost two weeks ago. There are other schools that I'm just assuming won't be getting back to us anytime soon. Plus I have a take-home final due today that is keeping my mind off of it. Oh wait, I better go work on it instead of being on here. 🙄
Haha, patience young grasshopper. Its ok EEL, Im struggling balencing comparative anatomy and SDN.
Patience? What is that? I think I missed school tha day. 🙂
P.S.- do you hate comparative anatomy as much as I did?

My test is for Epidemiology of Healthcare Practice. It's taught by a DO. Fun times! 🙂 I think I'm actually making it harder than it is. It's good to learn about evidence based medicine. Hopefully it won't be too long until I can practice it. 😛 Oh and tonight I have to do my Genetics test online so that will be fun as well! 😱
How is everyone coping with awaiting an interview invite or rejection letter. I have been complete at all of the schools for a week, and I'm already starting to go crazy. 🙂
Oh no not a whole week!!😱 I don't know how you will ever cope😴👎

I'm sorry Jim, between my excitment of attending medical school and my hard work over the last six years, I've become a little impatient and would like to have answers to the variables in my life. I'm not sure that warrants your sarcasm or poor humor. Of course I was exagerating my intial comments, but regardless, I'm not sure it is fair to make fun of people who are excited to receive interviews and find out out if they will be attending medical school in the fall.

Not trying to start a pissing match, but I have to ask...if you are so excited to apply why didn't you do it back in the summer instead of waiting until december??? That way you probably already would have answers instead of waiting!

Thanks. My original intentions were not narcissistic in nature. I was hoping we all could contribute and talk about what we were doing to pass the time. My original post was psuedo-serious and by no means do I expect to hear from a medical school within a weeks time.
its just frustrating for someone who applied months ago to read your OP while they are still waiting to hear from some schools. Granted I have interviewed and been accepted at many places, but there are still a couple of schools that i'm waiting to hear from. I can't imagine how horrible someone would feel reading your post if they haven't heard from anyone in a few months. We are all excited and nervous and anxious but perhaps you post would have been taken better if you left out the been complete for a week part!

Hmm, Comparative Anatomy was my favorite class ever, except for the smell, nasty.

Its not "comparative" at all. We dont learn one organism and then learn another and compare differences and similarities. (I would like it more if it were this way). We get everything thrown into a blender and thrown at us at near med school pace it seems like. Probably b/c my instructor taught at UMDNJ lol.
ugh, I hated comparative anatomy. My prof was obsessed with reptiles, and we must have dissected 5 different types of lizards, while spending only a week on the cat in lab. And the lizard-lover made us memorize the anatomy of extinct dinosaurs (true story) as well as just about every extant vertebrate. Definitely the worst class I ever took, even though it should have been really interesting.
Oh, and I'm right there with all those of you waiting
... my cure for impatience? Obsessing over SDN
