I'm wondering what classes I should take in the fall. I'm thinking about biochemistry but that's all I have so far. Do I have to talk to every med school I wanna get into to find out what type of upper division courses I need? Tell me fellow postbacs!!

🙂

Cell Biology is essentially as important as Biochemistry. If the school offers Molecular with or as another course take that as well. Also, you may want to pickup Physiology and Anatomy. Also, Developmental Biology and Genetics are fantastic advanced classes. Finally, you can always take more math and take Quantum (Physical) Chem. 🙂

Some med schools post on their web site what courses they recommend, strongly recommend, or require outside of the core courses. That being said, you generally can't go wrong with cell bio, mol bio, and/or biochem.

As for P-chem - 😱 😱 😱
