Psychologists get PhD's or PsyD's. Generally speaking (meaning there are exceptions) the PhD is a more research-oriented degree while the PsyD's focus more on therapy and counselling.

Psychiatrists are physicians (graduated from medical school and then post-graduate residency training) whereas psychologists have pursued graduate school in psychology - either PhD or PsyD as listed in previous posts.
