The students who will be doing your tour have completed their first year of med school so they're best versed in that info. Ask them about classes, Tulsa, etc. They'll all be nice so pick their brains. 😀

Awesome. Thanks! I'm excited about visiting. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for them! We're going to turn it into a mini vacation since we rarely get a few days off together. I haven't been to the Philbrook since they had the Picasso. I'm looking forward to seeing the garden structures this time around. I also have to check out the 19th century stuff, it's my favorite. Too bad I'm missing out on the Whistler exhibition. But hey, maybe I'll make it back in time to catch it... for an interview. 😉

Good luck on getting an interview, perservere and you will be here.

I toured OSUCOM yesterday. Stacey Dahl took me around for about an hour.

I ended up stealing my Visitor Pass...haha... I realized it when I got back over to my mother's home in Tulsa. So I went back today and returned it before coming back to Norman.

Other than my petty-larceny incident I enjoyed the visit and have decided to apply there tomorrow. I don't know if they'll take me, but I think I'd be happy there after seeing the facilities and getting an idea of the way things are done at OSU.

Congrats to those who are already in. 🙂

We may have toured on the same day! I really enjoyed the tour and was really impressed with the way things work there. I liked the lecture hall a lot. I believe it was Elizabeth who gave me a tour. She was very nice and enthusiastic. I like how it is such a family atmosphere and small school. I must say, seeing everything got me even more excited especially since we got a chance to visit some family and hang out around the town. They were really excited at the thought of moving there too. Anyway, I'm really worried about my chances since I'm out of state. But I'm only like 10 minutes out of state!!! 🙂

Helpful Advice?

Make Your Intentions Clear in your application, and think hard about why you really wanna be here.... 10% of the incoming classes are allowed to be from Out of state, so you have to be shining.... do all you can to be just that, not a figment of their collective imagination, but a realized desire of theirs...

Best of luck

Thanks for the advice. I sent off my supplemental this week. I hope it does the trick by showing enough of who I am as a person. I am much better at just showing myself & abilities than telling about them. But I suppose everyone probably feels the same. I do think my LORs will help too because almost all of the professors & docs writing have spent a lot of time getting to know me. (The plus side of a small school). I really think that my biggest obstacle here will be getting an interview. I hope that once they see my intentions, abilities, experiences and my strong family ties they will realize that they just have to have me as a student! An excellent opportunity for Oklahoma to steal away a diamond in the rough from Missouri!! Ok, it may be a misplaced hope. Even so, I'm going to try my hardest!!! Hey, I'd want me and I'm very picky! 😉
