also, has anyone filled out an on-line secondary and sent it in before receiving notification from the school to do so?

You can send in your secondary before your aamcas is received. Also, they dont invite you to fill out a secondary, you just do it.
As for min 3 GPA, not sure. Avg gpa was 3.5ish for this years class. If you are resident though, you might be eligible for the post-bac program.

The 3.0 minimum is the true minimum, but if you have re-taken courses the AACOMAS only records the most recent grade, so they may compute your GPA as higher. You can always call the admissions office and talk with someone if you need more specific info.
Anyone in-state can automatically send in a secondary. Don't know about out-of-staters.

Thanks nick, mom, abe.
The reason I ask about min. GPA is that my AACOMAS GPA is ~2.8, but my transcripts GPA is 3.4. The reason for this is that I did very poorly (read horrendous) when I first went to college. I left school for a few years, and declared academic bankruptcy from all of my bad grades when I returned. I don't really get the benefit of the way AACOMAS only uses the latest grade in a course because I didn't retake any courses. I had a different major before, so my coursework did not really overlap. I have a pretty strong MCAT, good letters, and tons of healthcare/research experience, but I fear that my application will never even be considered b/c of this GPA issue. Anyone have any ideas of how I can make sure my app gets seen?

Monte is good people. Nothing like being single, out of debt, and an attending by the age of 30.

From what I understand, all course work that you have ever done is averaged together for your GPA. If you are taking courses this semester, or are taking more in the spring that you feel can bring that 2.8 to 3.0, make sure you let them know that you are still taking courses.
believe hes at osu physicians i think in tulsa, but has to fulfill some contract with the indian people.
