Oklahoma Waitlist!

So I was wait-listed at Oklahoma on December 1st this year and was wondering if anyone was accepted last year off the wait-list? Does anyone know how many applicants Oklahoma puts on wait-list or how many they tend to accept off of it?

I am a DS1 at OU right now and I personally know of 3 people in our class who got in off of the waitlist. I bet that there were more however! I know they notified people of their acceptances earlier this year than last year, so I dont know if this will affect how far into the "depth chart" they go this year. Good luck!

I predict big movement on the waiting list. When you offer acceptance by waves like they did before, you replace people who declined with more acceptance, and waitlist is made much later. This year they already made all the offers, so all empty slot must be made from waitlist right from the start. I know alot of OOS are not going to accept so if you are OOS you got great chance. IS is going to be harder. Out of all the people I know that got accepted from OU-Norman, almost all of them are attending.

So they have already done all the interviews? This is great news to me! BTW I am OOS, from Washington but I have loads of family members in OKC and El Reno. Thanks for the reply MaybeDent! You gave me some hope for the time being haha.

Yes. ALL decision were made in late November. So if you applied to OU and did not already interview=Rejected. If you already interviewed, you are either...accepted, waitlisted, or reject. If you are OOS you chance of getting in is really really high, I do know quiet a few OOS that are going somewhere else. BTW later you can call to find your exact position on the waiting list.
