Oklahoma

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Good luck to all the alternates waiting to hear. Hopefully, we will be classmates!!

My cell phone will be glued to my side as well-hope all 3 of us get good news soon.

PS Sorry I misspelled your name Philo-I keep turning your name into something that sounds more like flaky dough.

The telephone silence is deafening.

So much so, you can hear a buzz.

Thanks for the good lucks! I'm pulling for everyone! I can't do anything about my application now. Can only sit back and wait for the best! Hopefully we will hear sooner rather than later. But I'd still go!

Yes, I was shocked that in the US News rankings that OSU was near the bottom. From what I can tell, the OSU facilities are just as good as those at Missouri, which really impressed me. I think Oklahoma is one of the schools to go to for large animal medicine. Besides location, the only thing I think may have placed them so low in the rankings was the size of their budget compared to other schools. To quote Dean Lorenz from the 2006 Vet Certa:

"We achieve more with less. Even though we receive the third smallest state appropriation in the nation, when comparing sponsored research per unit of state appropriation, we rank fifth of 28 nationally and first in the Big 12."

Everybody in Arkansas thinks OSU hung the moon. When I told my local vet I was accepted at OSU he flipped with excitement. What's funny is he's an LSU grad! He calls OSU for all his large animal questions.

congratulations
