I didn't apply to OK so I know nothing about it, but I wanted to pass on some info to you specifically--

At my post-rejection interview the coordinator told me that next year I should count all those hours of dissecting frogs, cow eyes and pigs with the kids as "biomedical/research" experience instead of animal experience. I thought that was crazy but I guess it counts if she says it does, and would be certainly helpful as I have plenty of animal exp but v. little research. I don't know your situation but figured you might have done the same as I did.

FYI, I don't get out of teaching until next tuesday, you are soooo lucky. June in an unconditioned high school is just cruel.

I did not hear anything here in NJ either; maybe they didn't get around to calling anybody yet....maybe they only called in-state people today....

Fargeese, thx for the info. I specifically asked UF about counting dissection hours during my post-mortem, and they said they didn't count, but if OK does and I don't get in, I'll def. put it down for them.

I can't wait to post a gazillion pics when I return! Ya'll behave and don't start too many juicy topics till I get back 😀

Thx 'yall but I have heard OK state is done with this year. Guess I'm up for round two. But it's all good. I knew I didn't have a shot my first year applying, it just sucked that I had been thrown a carrot and had hope.

At MSU our class prez didn't find out he was in until 3 days before orientation. He had to move from Massachusetts! I guess what I'm saying is, keep hoping!

Yes, I have heard stories like that too. The graduate lab I work in, a girl got called the day classes started, someone didn't show up, they wanted her there the next day!
