old edition of First Aid Step 3

Do you think one needs the newest (2010) edition of First Aid Step 3? Have an old edition from 2003 that's been handed down. Heard First Aid isn't even terribly helpful, so just wondering if the 2003 edition will do, or should i fork over $40 for the newest edition. Also have a 2004 Crush. Any advice helpful.
