Does anyone have any info on what schools are doing with the old MCAT and how long it's good for? AMCAS has a printout of every school and if they are accepting it thru next year or the year after for those of us who took the very last of the old version, but I can't find any info on whether this coming cycle will be the only one (so 2 cycles worth) it's good for. As a soon to be reapplicant - I want to get an idea if this is my last shot with my current MCAT rather then getting 3 cycles

Almost all MD/DO schools will take MCATs that were taken 3 years or less ago from matriculation date. So you should be good even applying 2017. You matriculate June/July. 3 years ago from then is 2014 June/July.

If you look at say: Touro CA- http://admissions.tu.edu/com/requirements.html
They'll take MCATs from 2012 and later for the class of 2016.

^ incorrect. MOST MD schools are NOT taking old mcat scores for the 3rd cycle....if you took it in 2015 it's only good thru 2017/18 cycle in all but I about 30 schools

The way I read that table, of the ones that stated a policy only 1 school/112 required the 2015 MCAT for the 2016-2017 application cycle for starting in 2017 which is more or less what I said.

Apply for 2017 matriculation, matriculate June/July. Almost all MD/DO schools state MCAT's 3 years or less from matriculation date are valid. If you do one year later, you'd apply for 2018 matriculation, 3 years before that would be 2015 June/July and some schools would require the new MCAT.
