I work full time during the school year and I know that between my work schedule and class schedule I couldn't put in the adequate amount of studying required to do well on the MCAT.

I am class of 2016. If anyone asks why I took the old MCAT, could a legitimate answer be that my work/class schedule was far too full and that I personally didn't feel like a gap year was right for me? I would like to do everything in my power to avoid a gap year. I would be working...it wouldn't be this huge character-building life experience.

Plenty of people take the MCAT after their sophomore year; it's not uncommon. I don't think you have to justify taking the old MCAT. If they ask, just say you were prepared to take it whenever you took it, and that should be the end of it.

Sn2 schedule (most used on SDN) recommends MCAT after sophomore year. Unbeknownst to most pre-meds this is the best time to take it, just sacrifice the summer and be done withit!
