Has anybody been to the Osteopathic Medicine Awareness Conference at LMU yet? I am planning on going Dec. 15 and was wondering what the the attire is. If anybody has already been I'd appreciate them letting me know this and how things went and also where they stayed. Thanks.

Well, I've never been to the OMAC, but I have been to a different health conference in the past, and I wore dress pants and a nice sweater. I would think that if you wore dress pants and nice dress shirt that would work fine. Went I attended my interview at DCOM, I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Middlesboro, which is really close (a little over 3 miles) to the school. I'm sorry I don't know much about OMAC. I hope that helps a little bit!

holiday inn express, is the best place to stay that is close.

huckka, if you want to stay at the holiday Inn express you need to act fast and reserve a room. It really fills up when there are events down there. The weekend of the white coat ceremony left the holiday inn and downtown inn and suites booked tight. I couldnt even imagine how packed a conference would make it.

I am going on Dec 15th as well so I will see you there!

I plan on being buisness casual. So, I'm a girl so I will probably be in a nice sweater and slacks, something similar to what I would wear to an interview but a little bit more casual

For the OMAC's business casual is just fine - no need to wear suits or anything like that. As for booking a room, definitely get on top of that ASAP. It won't be as nearly as busy as White Coat weekend was, but those rooms at the Holiday Inn Express fill up quickly. Glad to see you guys will be there.
