The reason this will happen is that I am the chief and I want the full weight and responsibility to rest upon the guy that is going to be here for 4 years. The guy that is here for 1 year I want to help him match. Our residency is so small with only 5 total guys and we are so busy that the intern has to function equal to a 1st year resident. Plus, because I will be the chief, if I see the first year guy or anyone stepping on the intern, I'll reward him handsomely with extra work and relentless pimping. I will be in charge of quality assurance 🙂

I'm talking "dust collecting on the peace-pipe" style of chief. I'm lucky because I actually don't have to worry about it much 'cause the guys under me are all work horses. They came in as sublime donkeys and I've made them into frothing stallions... now all I do is steer...
