Hello all,

I am wondering if any one is planning to apply to OMFS residenyc this application cycle. I am trying to find out what our chances are, as being advanced standing applicants, having a shorter US dental transcript.

How can we find information on what schools do not consider us for OMFS residency ? Techically we are eligible to apply to the residency just like a regular badge dental student who is a junior this year. But there is so much confusion going on. And I am trying to get ready for application and PASS cycle will be starting shortly.

99% of the residency programs donot accept foreign trained advanced standing applicants... even if they have to consider you should be a US permanent resident...

i think UTHSC @ HOUSTON might consider such applicants....better you check with them...

I am a permanent resident and Houston is the number one program that I know abt bec I lived next door to it for 2 plus years. Chances are slim..

then i will be glad if you could let me know where all you are gonna apply and if you find some prospective information pls post it here...one of my friend has just moved here and looking out for oral surgery residency... you might as well help him with whatever info you have...

I am also planning to apply 4 the residency programme, so could u plz tell me do I have to take exams to fullfill the requirements.

Hello Guys,
I am very happy that someone is concentarting on the OMFS residency program which is quite tricky to get in.🙂 Its my kind request to evryone to plz post any available information for the OMFS residency and the probability for international dentists with DDS degree to get in....
As per my knowledge and ADA information there some 12-15 schools or hospitals that offer this program for international dentists throughtout the US.
I will b thankful to all who will contribute their information .
