37k for 4th year 1 months
total tution 74k for total of 13 months that we spend in med school.
we get paid regular salary from the hospital in 4th year of med school.

13 months total of med school? That's one of the shortest med school components I've heard of. I like it. Where are you doing residency?

However, paying full tuition for 1 month is lame.

Sounds like Case to me.

Parkland is 8 grand per year for 3 years. Pretty cheap, but it's annoying to pay 3 years when we only do about 24 months.

San Antonio is around 23 grand per year out of state. It is much less in state, like 8 or so.

LSU-Shreve: around 10K/year for 1yr, 5mo in med school...the other 7 or so months of our third residency year (fourth year med), we're on service...

We go to 5 months of 4th year, also pay 10k

Total is about 15-16months of med school. Pay 20k. Not too bad considering my DDS cost around 120 grand.

Crazy what? So I forgot about the month during second year when you come back on service and f*** s*** up. Example: "Sure, sir, you can keep that bombed out first molar in the fracture line. I'm sure the fracture will still heal just fine after we plate it." Who's the crazy bastard now!?! We interns got our asses chewed because of that...turned out not to be an intern!

Does this constitute being owned? Heh heh...

That's why I turned down my Penn interview.

Penn and Vandy had the most impressive medical schools of all the programs I interviewed at but the price tag at both is steep. At least Penn pays you all 6 years though.
