The testing site didn't have me on their roster to take the DAT today! I sent a written appeal to a lady at the ADA who said she'd review it... but isn't that going to take forever? I'd really like to take it within the next week... Has this happened to anyone? Should I just suck it up and pay the fees again so I can retake?

First time DATs: PAT:17, QR: 16, TS: 20, OChem:22, CGhem: 22, Bio: 19, RC: 22
GPA 3.31, Science: 3.19

If you registered and paid for the test through the ADA then you really shouldn't shell out the bucks to take the test again. Their was probably a clerical error between the ADA and Thompson, and the problem should be easily fixed. If you are freaking out really bad maybe talk to someone at the ADA and see if you did register for the test so you could take it right away if you could get a refund, from the time they messed up. Other then your low QR which really isn't a big deal you did fairly well on your first DAT you really shouldn't have a problem getting in some where if you have a strong app, so I wouldn't freak out too much.

I can't imagine how upsetting this was for you! I'd have died if it happened to me...especially since the nearest Prometric center is over an hour away from my house.
Here are some suggestions:
Did you print out your receipt from the ADA when you sent the money the first time? If so, you have a paper trail and that should speed up the process a little bit. If not, contact your bank or credit card company for proof the payment was received.

the ada lady fixed it!!!!! in ONE business day! she is my savior omg!!! she renewed my eligibility ID and said i could go ahead and schedule whenever I feel ready... so I'm going to take it Monday because that's the next available date at the center around me. wow... i'm speechless. maybe this was a blessing more than a curse? i was saying i didn't feel ready.... now i get to study!! yay ada lady!

Yipee! Glad to hear it was so easily rectified!! Good luck on Monday!
