Hi,
I was hoping to get some feedback to my dilemma. I'll be submitting my application in the next couple of weeks; most of my relatives who are dentists (4), I am extremely proud to call family. However, one of my relatives has received disciplinary action from the state board over the past couple of years from something that is a bit embarrassing. Would it be untruthful or in violation of AADSAS guidelines to omit that person's name from my list of relatives? Thanks for any input

Be truthful. By submitting your AADSAS you state that you have filled it out in its entirety with complete honesty.

Besides, that relative isn't you. and unless your relative is the dentist from Tulsa I doubt they'll even know about his (or her) disciplinary action.

If you legally disowned your relative, there is no obligation to include the info.

Yea...you don't have to put down someone your not proud of...
